By accessing and using this website you agree to be bound by these general terms and conditions of sale. The present conditions of sale are agreed between, on the one hand, KVNConsult BVBA and, on the one hand, the Internet users who purchase a product via this website.

1. Our Products

All products offered by KVNConsult BVBA are described and pictured as completely and precisely as possible and in good faith. The offers and prices are valid on the day that they are offered on our website. However, should there, despite all our precautions, be an error KVNConsult BVBA cannot be held liable for possible errors.

All products offered by KVNConsult BVBA are legally compliant with Belgian law. Foreign purchasers should always consult the laws in their own country if they doubt the legality of their purchase in their own country.

KVNCONSULT BVBA cannot, under any circumstances be held liable if the articles offered are used in an incorrect or irresponsible manner by the purchaser, nor for material or physical damage to third parties caused by incorrect and/or illegal use of the articles on this website.

2. Prices

All prices are due in Euros and include all taxes. For customers from EU countries, VAT is included in the shown prices. For shipping outside the EU, the Belgian VAT (21%) is excluded but the shipping company will charge applicable customs and local taxes at goods reception. The shipping cost varies depending on the final destination.
Discount- and promotion codes can not be added to general discounts and promotional activities.
Sales or promotional discounts are valid as long as the products are available at KVN Consult BVBA.

3. The Order

A valid agreement between the purchaser and Designhus occurs, when Designhus receives the confirmation of the order from the purchaser on its website. Designhus will always send an email to the purchaser confirming the order. Designhus reserves the right to refuse an order or to subject it to extra conditions. By placing an order on this site you declare yourself to be over 18 years of age and responsible for your purchasing activity.

4. Dispatch, Transport and Extra Service

KVNConsult BVBA offers a complete transport service for purchases, in association with renowned transport companies and/or Designhus own transport service.

Small and light items will be delivered by bpost in Belgium and abroad (see the list of countries under 5). Large, heavy and/or fragile items will be delivered by specialized transport in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxemburg, France or the United Kingdom. Shipping costs and all information about orders with a delivery address in another country than listed above, can be requested viahttp://shop.designhus.be/en/contact-us.

Depending on the type of product(s) and delivery location, the customer can choose the shipping method during the order process, with or without mounting service in Belgium. Costs are clearly communicated for every product whilst placing the order (see also under 5). When your order is ready for delivery, Designhus and/or the transporter will contact the customer to arrange a time of delivery.

Bpost offers delivery to your front door.

All deliveries of large and heayy items by other carriers than Designhus are automatically ground floor deliveries performed by 1 person.

All deliveries of large items by Designhus itself, are delivered in the room of your choice.

product, the customer can select 1 or more of the 3 following delivery options:

a)      Carrier Belgium: Furniture or lighting items are delivered at ground floor level. These products will be delivered by one person and does not include assembly or mounting service. It may be possible that the customer will be asked to give the transporter a hand while unloading. Packing materials will not be taken away by the transporter.

b)      Carrier Belgium + standard service: Furniture will be delivered, assembled and/or mounted by Designhus itself in the room of your choice. It may be possible that the customer will be asked to give the transporter a hand while unloading. Suspensions or wall lighting items are installed and connected with existing electrical light points. Packing materials can be taken away.

c)      Carrier Belgium + premium service: Furniture will be delivered, assembled and/or mounted by Designhus itself in the room of your choice. Premium deliveries are always performed by 2 persons. Suspensions are installed and connected with existing electrical light points. Packing materials can be taken away.

Designhus expects from the customer that he/she provides all necessary information about the accessibility of the building, about all problems the transporter can encounter and the exact sizes of the passageway. If the delivery requires an external elevator or special mounting devices, the customer is subject to additional charges. Designhus will make an offer to the customer. If necessary, the customer will make a reservation of extra parking space of 10 meters with the local authorities to avoid traffic problems due to the delivery with an elevator. Additional charges for the elevator will be charged by Designhus on top of the product price and other possible delivery costs.

All orders can also be picked up at the Designhus shop in Tervuren.

At the time of delivery the customer is expected to check the present condition of the product in the box and to verify if the delivered goods are correct, before signing the receipt.

The delivery note given by the carrier, dated and signed by the customer upon delivery will constitute as evidence with regard to transport and delivery.

5. Shipping Costs and Extra Service Costs

Delivery costs and extra assembly/mounting costs (in €, VAT incl.) are automatically calculated for every product whilst placing the order and the following costs are applied:

5.2. Shipping by other carriers

Furniture and large, heavy products will be delivered by specialized transport. Deliveries with extra assembly/mounting service (i.c. standard or premium service) are only offered within Belgium.

Costs for deliveries and assembly/mounting service in the provinces Flemish-Brabant, Walloon-Brabant and Brussels differ from the other Belgian provinces. All orders with a delivery by an International Carrier in other countries than listed above must be sent to http://shop.designhus.be/en/contact-us. Designhus will send the prices and conditions in return by email.

5.3. Pick-up at Designhus

All orders can be picked up by the customer at Designhus, Brusselsesteenweg 4F01, 3080 Tervuren in Belgium. Small orders can be picked up in the shop during opening hours. Large orders can be picked up at the Designhus pick-up point in Tervuren on appointment only.

6. Delivery Time

The goods purchased are delivered within a reasonable delay by recorded delivery to the delivery address that the purchaser indicates on the order. In the product description the customer can check the exact number of the available product(s). For product(s) in stock following delivery times are applied:

Shipping by bpost within Belgium: 2-3 working days if product(s) in stock

Shipping by bpost in Europe: 3-5 working days if product(s) in stock

Shipping by Carrier within Belgium: 2-3 working days if product(s) in stock

Shipping by Carrier + standard service within Belgium: 3-7 working days if product(s) in stock

Shipping by Carrier + premium service within Belgium: 3-7 working days if product(s) in stock

Shipping by International Carrier outside Belgium: 5-8 working days if product(s) in stock

Deliveries with bpost are done Monday-Friday during regular business hours. Deliveries with other carriers are done on appointment. Delivery times in Belgium for orders with extra assembly/mounting service are subject to the availability of the customer and the Designhus service team. Designhus will always contact the customer to arrange a time of delivery.

If a product is not available whilst placing the order, the estimated delivery period will be indicated in the product description. As soon as Designhus has received the payment, Designhus will order the product(s) at the supplier. As from the delivery of the product(s) from the supplier, the customer will be informed – by email or by phone- that the product is ready for shipping or pick-up.

If the purchaser orders several articles, the consignment will only be dispatched when all the articles are in stock. If, as a result, however, the order could not be delivered within 30 working days, KVNConsult BVBA will dispatch the out of stock article separately to the purchaser after this period.

If stocks are sold out or if an article cannot be delivered on time according to the information on the website, KVNConsult BVBA will contact the purchaser to agree on an acceptable delivery period or will cancel the order completely free of charge. KVNConsult BVBA cannot be held liable for damage that might occur from a product being out of stock or from delayed delivery.

7. Packing and Insurance:

The products ordered are packed carefully, using special packaging. A special care in the packing allows KVNConsult BVBA to send the furniture in the best conditions.
The furniture delivered is insured against deterioration and robbery, during the whole shipping time. The purchaser is responsible for checking the goods on receipt in the presence of the carrier. If any damage is detected, the purchaser should refuse the goods at receipt. All refused goods must be given back to the carrier with the original packaging.

The purchaser is supposed to check the received goods. The customer must inform KVNConsult BVBA within 2 working days about possible damage via http://shop.designhus.be/en/contact-us. KVNConsult BVBA has the right to refuse a demand if this period has not been respected. After the receipt of a message about damage, KVNConsult BVBA will give instructions to the customer about the possible return shipment of the damaged item(s).

8. Delivery Address:

The purchaser is responsible for providing a full and correct delivery address. Incorrectly transmitted delivery addresses are the responsibility of the purchaser and may entail extra costs. In the event of errors in the address details of the addressee, KVNConsult BVBA cannot under any circumstances be held liable for inability to deliver the products ordered. Circumstances beyond the control of the vendor, whereby he is released from the obligation to deliver are: war, uproar, fire, strikes, accidents and inability to find supplies. Under these circumstances the full amount will be refunded to the purchaser.

If the purchaser is absent at the time of delivery by bpost, an advice document will be left in his letter box. The purchaser or a third person will be able to pick up the parcel in an identified post office or “pick-up centre” close to the purchaser, within the next 10 working days (day of delivery non included). It is also possible for the customer to ask the postman for a second attempt at the same delivery address.

If the purchaser is absent at the time of delivery by bpost outside Belgium, conditions of the local bpost partners will be applied.

The purchaser is required to be present at the scheduled delivery time of a large order with another carrier in Belgium or abroad. If the purchaser is not present at the arranged time of delivery, all supplementary costs of a new delivery will be charged to the customer.

9. Cancellation of an Order

The customer may inform us that he/she wishes to refuse a purchase within 14 working days of receipt of the product. The purchaser may notify KVNConsult BVBA of the cancellation through the website “http://shop.designhus.be/en/contact-us”.
The goods should be returned undamaged, unopened and in the original packaging within 5 working days of this notification. The purchaser should send a copy of the invoice and a covering letter indicating his/her full account number (IBAN and BIC code) with the returned goods.

Cancellation is not possible for goods that have been made especially for you (= custom made products). Products on sale or outlet items cannot be returned nor exchanged. Cancellation is neither possible if the product has been damaged whilst unpacking or installation by the customer himself or another assembly/mounting service team than Designhus.

In the event of an order cancellation, KVNConsult BVBA will refund, within 30 days of acceptance of the return, any sums paid, minus the direct delivery costs (transport and order handling costs). Carriage for the return of the goods is payable by the purchaser. KVNConsult BVBA refunds carriage costs only if the purchaser did not receive the article that was ordered or if the article arrived damaged. KVNConsult BVBA can refuse to accept or refund returned articles when the packaging has been opened or when the products have been used or damaged by the purchaser.

10. Returns

The purchaser may only return the article after notification from KVNConsult BVBA to do so. The purchaser ensures the consignment is adequately paid for and provided with secure packing materials.We advise you to use a courier service and to insure the consignment.

Always include a copy of the invoice and a covering letter mentioning your full account number (IBAN and BIC code). The buyer is responsible for the return carriage costs. Not or insufficiently prepaid consignments are always refused and returned to sender.

The transport costs indicated in article 5 will be deducted in the event of an order cancellation after shipment of the goods.

11. Secure Payment

Secure payment is key to KVNConsult BVBA. That is why a certified company, Ingenico (https://payment-services.ingenico.com/be/en), which guarantees a 100% secure transaction, has been called on to process payments. KVNConsult BVBA employees NEVER get to see your credit card number. The following methods of payment are accepted: Visa, Eurocard/Mastercard, Bancontact/Mister Cash and Bank Transfer.

13. Intellectual Property Rights

The content of this site, including brand names, logo designs, data, product or company names, texts, images, etc are the property of KVNConsult BVBA or third parties and are protected by intellectual property rights.

14. Jurisdiction and Applicable Law

Disputes concerning the conclusion, validity, interpretation or implementation of the sales contract or of the current general terms and conditions are subject exclusively to Belgian law and fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the District Court of Brussels.
