The Poronjäkälä (reindeer lichen) print reflects Aino-Maija Metsola’s fascination with mosses and lichens, which she has painted in watercolour with detailed accuracy. The design has its background in a pattern created for a Marimekko exhibition touring Japan, inspired by pictures of a Japanese temple’s moss garden.
