Erik Magnussen's classic vacuum jug is now available in an updated version with a new function. Designed for Stelton in 1977, the prize-winning jug now comes as a press coffee maker.
The press coffee maker brews up to 8 cups. The new press coffee maker has a specially designed press that brings out the best in coffee flavour and aroma.
Its double walls and simple open/close function keep coffee hot for a long time. To serve, grasp the knob and turn the lid open; close by turning the lid back. The jug comes complete with measuring spoon and instructions for a unique taste experience with every cup.
You can wash the piston in the dishwasher, but clean the jug by hand.
How to brew an excellent coffee with the Stelton press coffee maker?
Here is how to do it:
- - For best results, use a coarse blend or a blend specially prepared for press coffee makers.
- Place the press coffee maker on a stable, non slip surface.
- Always use fresh cold water and heat it to the boiling point.
- Allow the boiled water to cool down about a minute to 95°C (203°F) before brewing.
- Put 60g or 4-6 spoonfuls of coffee in the press coffee maker.
- Pour the water onto the coffee grounds and fill approximately 4 cm from the top edge of the coffee maker
- Stir the coffee with a long spoon. Place the press on the jug and let the coffee steep for 4 minutes.
- Carefully push the press into the jug an the coffee is ready to serve.
Enjoy!
