By simplifying the shape of a Chinese chair Hans J. Wegner (1914-2007) created a timeless and elegant version in which the junctions are not hidden but shown as perfectly integrated details. 
In the 50’s Wegner was one of the leading Scandinavian designers, praised for his craftsmanship and his deep knowledge of materials. His experiments led to designs which not only look sculpturally beautiful but also ensure a high seating comfort. 

The frame of the classic CH24 comes in different solid wood types and finishes:

Beech: soaped, lacquered or oiled

Oak: soaped, lacquered, oiled, white oiled 

Ash: soaped, lacquered, oiled or white oiled

Cherry: lacquered or oiled

Walnut: lacquered or oiled

The frame of the painted CH24 comes in 3 solid wood types: beech, ash or oak.

The painted beech version is available in different CHS colours (see model CH24 WISHBONE CHAIR - CHS COLOUR). The painted ash or oak version is only available in black (see model CH24 WISHBONE CHAIR - BLACK).

Only the painted version comes in 2 paper cord colours: natural or black.

You can also add a reversible leather cushion to the CH24 (see CU CH24 CUSHION).
