The stackable Ant Chair - 1952 - by the legendary Danish architect Arne Jacobsen was the first one in a series of variants of chairs in bentwood and tubing. The design was remarkable for those days. Experiments of steaming laminated wood had been done, but no designer produced a one piece wooden seat shell.

The Ant chair in coloured ash comes in different colours. The grain of the wood is clearly visible through the colour.
The chairs exist as well in a monochrome version in the same pale pink colour, and also in ten different veneers: maple, beech, ash, cherry, oregon pine, elm, oak, walnut, dark stained oak or full dark stained oak with clear lacquer.
Stackable chair.The base with 4 legs is made of chromed steel tubes (=model 3101).
