ANT CHAIR LACQUERED 3101

The stackable Ant Chair - 1952 - by the legendary Danish architect Arne Jacobsen was the first one in a series of variants of chairs in bentwood and tubing. The design was remarkable for those days. Experiments of steaming laminated wood had been done, but no designer produced a one piece wooden seat shell.

The lacquered ANT chair comes in 2 colours: black or white. The lacquered version has a silky, soft surface with no wood grain visible.

The chairs exist as well in 2 coloured ash finishes (the grain of the wood is clearly visible through the colour) and in ten different veneers: maple, beech, ash, cherry, oregon pine, elm, oak, walnut, dark stained oak or full dark stained oak with clear lacquer.

Stackable chair.The base with 4 legs is made of chromed steel tubes (=model 3101).

The base also comes with 3 legs (original design=model 3100).

Standard seat height: 46,5 cm. Other optional seat height: 44 cm.
