ANT CHAIR WOOD 3101

The stackable Ant Chair - 1952 - by the legendary Danish architect Arne Jacobsen was the first one in a series of variants of chairs in bentwood and tubing. The design was remarkable for those days. Experiments of steaming laminated wood had been done, but no designer produced a one piece wooden seat shell.

All chairs are made of pressure moulded sliced veneer. The Ant chair comes in ten different veneers: maple, beech, ash, cherry, oregon pine, elm, oak, walnut, dark stained oak or full dark stained oak with clear lacquer.

The chairs exist as well in  coloured ash in 3 standard colours (black, nine grey and white) and 3 'pale' colors.

Stackable chair. The base with 4 legs (model 3101) is made of chromed steel tubes.

The base also comes with 3 legs (model 3100= original design).

Option on request:

Standard seat height: 46,5 cm. Other optional seat height: 44 cm.
