Hans J. Wegner (1914-2007) was a “slow” designer, who sometimes spent years working on a single chair. To simplify and distil the essence of the shape and structure of old prototypes, Wegner created timeless and extremely beautiful interpretations of traditional chairs with material and structural honesty."If a chair is beautiful when it's upside-down", said Hans Wegner, "then it's a good chair." And he applied this principle to more than 500 designs. He devoted his entire career to the quest for a good chair.

A lot of Wegner models are still crafted in the workshop of pp møbler in Denmark.

Craftsmanship in design has its price, of course, but it results in a product of a completely different order, in which aesthetics and quality stand out, as well as ergonomics."Because", as Wegner stated, "a chair is only finished once somebody sits on it."

This black lacquered pp68 chair in solid wood has a visible grain structure.

The pp68 hand woven paper cord seat also comes in natural paper cord (see model pp68 CHAIR – BLACK PAINTED + NATURAL SEAT).

This model is also available with a leather seat (see model pp58 CHAIR – BLACK PAINTED).

Important notice! Cancellation of a pp68 Chair is not possible, as it is a good that has been made especially for you. As any handcrafted product is a custom made product, the right of cancellation does not apply.
