By simplifying the shape of a Chinese chair Hans J. Wegner (1914-2007) created a timeless and elegant version in which the junctions are not hidden but shown as perfectly integrated details. 
In the 50’s Wegner was one of the leading Scandinavian designers, praised for his craftsmanship and his deep knowledge of materials. His experiments led to designs which not only look sculpturally beautiful but also ensure a high seating comfort. 

The frame of the black painted CH24 comes in 3 different solid wood types: beech, ash or oak. Oak and ash have a clearly visible wood structure when painted. Beech has minimal structure when painted.

The painted beech version is available in different CHS colours (see model CH24 WISHBONE CHAIR - CHS COLOUR). Only the painted version in a CHS colour comes in 2 paper cord colours: natural or black.

The CH24 chair also come in a classic version with the wooden frame (model CH24 WISHBONE CHAIR - CLASSIC).
